Sometimes the best way to spend a three day weekend is resting, relaxing and... shopping. If that sounds like your perfect weekend, then you're in luck. Memorial Day sales are on. Here are some of the price cuts we're jumping on this weekend.
Betabrand
Ever tried to ride your bike while wearing your favorite pencil skirt? Hopefully not; I know from one painfully embarrassing experience that that is a very bad idea. Unless you happen to be wearing Betabrand's Bike to Work Skirt, that is. Simply pull the zippers, spread your legs and ride away.

This genius skirt will cost you a pretty penny, but if you order now through Betabrand's Meme-orial Day Sale, you can at least save a small chunk. Plus, their latest email says locals should stop by the shop (780 Valencia St.) today through Monday to snag sample sale items for an unbelievable price of $15-$20. I'll be there searching for a pair of their office-appropriate yoga pants.

REI's annual anniversary sale happens to be this weekend as well. Basically, everything in this one-stop-shop is on sale now. That means now is the time to upgrade all of the [camping, climbing, backpacking, surfing, hiking, cycling, etc.!] gear you've been meaning to replace.
Nordstrom
Another blow-out sale: Nordstrom's Half-Yearly. The active wear department cut prices on a huge selection of colorful leggings, comfortable tanks, fitted jackets and much more. It's not often you see Nike, North Face and Under Armour all on sale in one place. Proceed at your own risk; decision making will be difficult.
Zumiez
And the wildcard, for good reason: Zumiez has the Internet's best price on folding sunglasses. Folding sunglasses!
I first spotted these brilliant lenses at Nordstrom Rack last year and fell head over heels. Aren't they just perfect for throwing in a beach bag, hiking pack or everyday purse just in case? Well, that's what I thought until I saw the price tag. They're still selling all over the web for $100 or more, but Zumiez happens to be off-loading their stock for $25 each this weekend. Even better, they're offering free shipping on all orders — no minimum required. I'll take two, thank you very much!
